To start or stop the BlackBerry services, complete the following in sequence:

• BlackBerry Router
• BlackBerry Dispatcher
• BlackBerry Controller
• All remaining BlackBerry services

After starting or stopping the BlackBerry services, close BlackBerry Manager.

Note: All of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services can also be started by clicking the Administrative Tools > Services drop-down list.

The BlackBerry services must be stopped or started in the specified order, to reduce the number of errors that appear in the Microsoft Windows Event Viewer Application Log.

Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones.
