Defragment Your Hard Drive with Defraggler

Defragmenting your hard drive is typically considered good housekeeping to keep your computer running smooth. 

Today we take a look at Defraggler which is a free utility that allows you to defrag an entire drive or just individual files. Download details for Defraggler are available from the Downloads/Technical section of the web site, or by searching the site for defraggler)

Download the latest version of Defraggler.

Installation is quick and easy following the installation wizard, as follows:

1. Select the language for the installation:

2. Click on Next.

3. Review the License Agreement, and click on I Agree.

4. Verify the folder that you want to install Defraggler in, and click on Next.

5. Confirm if you want to create Desktop Shortcut and Start Menu shortcuts.

6. Click on Next.

7. The installation proceeds. It will not take long to complete.

8. Click on Finish.

When you first start up Defraggler you get an overview of the different drives on your computer.  Before starting a defrag session you can click on the Analyze button and see the amount of fragmented space.

Under Help there is a legend so you can identify what the colored blocks represent.
