How to enable Content Protection using an IT policy on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server |

In order to enable Content Protection through IT Policies in BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you must be running: - BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0 and 4.1
- BlackBerry Device Software Version 4.0 to 4.7
- Java based BlackBerry device
- BlackBerry Connect Transport Stack Version 4.0
Follow the steps below to turn on Content Protection on the BlackBerry device using IT policies. - In BlackBerry Manager, select the Global tab of the BlackBerry Domain.
- In the Tasks menu, click Properties.
- In the left pane, select IT Policy.
- Double-click IT Policies in the right pane.
- Select the IT policy that Content Protection is to be turned on for and click Properties.
- Select the Security Policy Group.
- Select the Content Protection Strength policy in the right pane.
- Using the drop-down list, select the appropriate Content Protection Strength.
- Click Apply.
Note: The BlackBerry smartphone uses this IT policy rule only if the Password Required IT policy rule is set to True.
