Wireless Reconcile option is missing

On a BlackBerry smartphone that is connected to either a BlackBerry Enterprise Server v4.0 to 5.0, using BlackBerry Device software v4.0, the Wireless Reconcile option does not appear when you display the Email Reconciliation screen on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Note: To display the Email Reconciliation screen, complete the following steps:

  • Click the Messages icon on the BlackBerry smartphone.
  • Press the Menu key and click Options.
  • Click Email Reconciliation.


This issue may be caused by one of the following:

  1. The Desktop [CMIME] service book is corrupted and needs to be updated.
  2. The Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy is set to False.


Resolution for Desktop [CMIME] service book is corrupted

Complete the following steps to delete the Desktop [CMIME] service book on the BlackBerry smartphone and send a new Desktop [CMIME] service book to the BlackBerry smartphone:

  1. Perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry smartphone. 

  2. From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click the Options icon and select the Service Book option.

  3. Highlight the Desktop [CMIME] service book.

  4. Press the Menu key and click Delete.

  5. In the Warning dialog box, click Delete.

  6. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  7. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to your computer. A new copy of the Desktop [CMIME] service book is automatically sent to the BlackBerry smartphone.

 

 

Resolution for Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy is set to False.
Contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator and request that the Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy be set to True for your BlackBerry smartphone user account.

To set the the Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy to True on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the administrator completes the following steps:

  1. In the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Management console or BlackBerry Manager, right-click the BlackBerry Enterprise Server name and select IT Policy.

  2. Select the Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy and click Edit.

  3. In the CMIME Application Policy Group, change the Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy value to True.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Open the BlackBerry Manager and select any affected BlackBerry user accounts.

  6. In the Tasks pane, click IT Admin > Resend Service Book. A new service book is sent over the wireless network.
