The Problem
A user has reported that they are unable to delete emails from the device anymore.

The user could them, but could not delete them - not individually, and not using "Delete Prior".

The Cause

This issue is normally experienced after a Mail File design update has occurred.

The Solution

1. Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and go to Backup and Restore.
   
   
2. Click on Advanced and then select Messages in the right pane (see below).
   
   
   
   Once you have selected Messages, click the Clear button, then Close. Go ahead and close out of Backup and Restore, close BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and disconnect the Blackberry device.
   
   
3. Now, on the BlackBerry device, go to Messages – Email Options.
   
   
4. Go into Email Reconciliation.
   
   
5. Turn off Wirless Reconcile, close out.
   
   
6. Let the device sit for approximately 1 minute, to ensure that the settings take effect.
   
   
7. Go back into Email Reconciliation.
   
   
8. Turn Wireless Reconcile back On, close out.
